They welcomed their first child, a daughter, four years ago \u200dand \u200dhave kept her out of the&nbsp;public eye\u2064 since\u200c then.\u2063 However, the couple \u200chas&nbsp;recently announced&nbsp;the arrival of their second child, a son named Cardinal.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The\u2064 news came as a \u200csurprise to many, as the couple has always been very private about their personal lives. In their joint\u200c Instagram \u200cannouncement, they shared a photo of a piece\u200d of artwork with the \u2064words \u201cA little bird whispered to me,\u201d revealing the\u200c birth of their son.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The couple\u2019s caption \u2064read, \u201cWe are blessed and \u2062excited to announce the birth of\u2064 our Son, Cardinal Madden. He is awesome and\u200d we \u2064are all\u200b so happy he\u2064 is here!\u201d\u2063 They\u2062 also mentioned that they will\u2063 not be sharing any photos of their children for their safety and privacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not the\u2064 first time the couple has kept their\u200c family \u2063news under\u200d wraps. They \u200dtied the knot in 2015 and welcomed their daughter Raddix \u200bin \u20622019, \u2063only announcing her birth after the fact. In the birth announcement, Cameron Diaz wrote, \u201cShe has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the\u2062 couple is overjoyed \u200dwith their new addition, they also feel a strong instinct to protect their children\u2019s privacy. Some have criticized Cameron\u2019s age, with one Instagram user commenting, \u2063\u201dWho the heck wants to become a parent at 51 yrs old?\u201d But as with \u2063any decision, there will always be differing opinions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite any criticism, Benji and Cameron\u2062 are happy and grateful for their growing family.
