A source said the actress has never wanted anyone beyond her close family and friends to know much about their lives. However, when they crossed paths, he knew he just didn\u2019t want to have children without her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Gosling and the actress acted as family on screen, the actor realized he didn\u2019t want to play pretend anymore, and he\u2019d be lucky to create a family with Mendes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After Gosling welcomed his second child, he started appearing in fewer movies, and for four years, he wasn\u2019t featured in anything. So, Gosling tried only to do one or two movies per year because he had to bring his family from their quiet town in the southern half of California to the location of each movie he shot. The actor also gushed over\u00a0his daughters\u00a0on the red carpet, saying that raising them was a dream come true and that they\u2019re \u201cangels\u201d with \u201cheaven eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The actor reiterated this statement when he welcomed his second daughter. He said being in a house with three girls was like \u201cheaven.\u201d He\u00a0gushed, \u201cIt\u2019s like walking through a field of flowers every day. I live with angels.\u201d Gosling went on to say that her girls were like a ray of sunshine in dark times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gosling also expressed admiration for his wife and kids in another acceptance speech in 2024. This time, he was honored with the Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The actor said his job in acting was important as he grew up dreaming of making movies, but now the films had made his life a dream. \u201cMost importantly, I got to meet the girl of my dreams, Eva Mendes, and have two dream children,\u201d he\u00a0said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gosling, who enjoys family moments, noted that the pandemic period, especially the lockdown, was a\u00a0tough time\u00a0for his kids, who were young as they were separated from other kids and family.
