After recognizing the pilot\u2019s voice during takeoff, a woman cried an entire flight and refused to get down until she met him. Nobody understood why until the pilot greeted her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Linda was not new to flying, but this particular flight saddened her. She sat beside the porthole, pretending she was alright.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beads of tears streamed down her face, and she could no longer control them. She silently wept, thinking about her parents\u2019 graves she would visit five hours later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suddenly, the pilot\u2019s announcement broke her silence, and his voice seemed familiar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Linda was startled and began to cry even more after hearing his voice\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMa\u2019am, is there something you need help with?\u201d asked a flight attendant after noticing 39-year-old Linda weeping for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Linda was not okay. She recalled the pilot\u2019s voice, again and again, crying like a child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Linda refused to answer. She turned away to the porthole and stared outside. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to meet him,\u201d she mumbled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat, ma\u2019am?\u201d the curious attendant asked again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan you please not bother me?\u201d Linda fumed. \u201cPlease leave me alone\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She cried for the rest of the journey. Nobody was interested to know why after observing her temper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five hours later, the flight landed, and everyone except Linda started to get off the plane. The stewardess noticed the woman was still seated and walked over to her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMam, the flight has landed\u2026Do you want any help with your bag?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, I\u2019m not getting down! I MUST SEE THE PILOT! I\u2019m not moving from here until I see him!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stewardess was unsure how to handle the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMa\u2019am, what is it? You can\u2019t stay on the plane for a long time after it has landed. Please, you\u2019ll need to disembark now\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI said I want to meet the pilot. It\u2019s urgent. Please try to understand,\u201d pleaded Linda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOkay, I\u2019ll tell him. Please wait here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moments later, Linda started to cry even more after seeing the pilot come out of the cockpit. He approached her smiling, but his expression faded after seeing her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYOU?! I have nothing to say to you,\u201d he fumed, turning his back and preparing to exit the aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey would be proud of you, just like the way I was the moment I heard your voice when this flight took off,\u201d said Linda. \u201cAlex, wait, please don\u2019t go\u2026I\u2019m sorry! Please forgive me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex stopped and, without turning back, asked Linda how she still recognized his voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI would recognize your voice even in a crowd of millions. I love you so much, Alex.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been waiting to hear this from you for years,\u201d said Alex. \u201cAll you had to do was say these words to set things straight. Why did it take you so long to say SORRY?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it turned out, Alex was Linda\u2019s younger brother who had dreamed of becoming a pilot. But their father never approved of his ambition and constantly taunted him instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am not spending a dime on you to waste it in an air academy,\u201d were the last words 10-year-old Alex heard from his father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their parents died in a car crash shortly after, and once the dust settled, Linda received an inheritance from them. The will stated she would also be in charge of Alex\u2019s share until he turned 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Alex thought he would be able to use his inheritance to go to school and then the air academy, Linda refused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe could use this money to buy a nice big house and a car. Why do you want to waste it when you know you\u2019re not gonna be a successful pilot?!\u201d she told Alex when he asked her about his share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furious, Alex told Linda to keep all the money and went to live with his grandparents. \u201cI don\u2019t even want to see you. Take all the money. I will achieve my dream by myself. Goodbye!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Linda and Alex\u2019s relationship remained strained for several years. At one point, Linda regretted burning bridges with him and even called him to apologize a year ago. But Alex had hung up on her as soon as he heard her voice, and all Linda heard from him was just a plain, \u201cHello, who is this?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was that same voice that made her shed tears when she heard his announcement during the flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not ready to talk to you anymore. I\u2019m going,\u201d said Alex, snapping Linda to reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlex, please, give me one chance. Please, I\u2019m here to visit dad and mom\u2019s graves. Please come with me. They would be watching us from heaven, and they will be proud of you\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Linda begged and pleaded, but Alex wouldn\u2019t listen. He turned his back on her and left the plane without looking back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hurt and disappointed, Linda got off the plane and waited to meet Alex, but he never showed up. Feeling heavy and crushed, she boarded a taxi and rode to her parents\u2019 graves to commemorate their 20th death anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh my God, I don\u2019t believe this!\u201d she said, slowing down as tears welled up. \u201cAlex?\u201d she cried and ran to him. He was standing by the graves of their parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI forgive you, Linda. Let\u2019s not talk about what happened years ago. I\u2019m over it, and I want you to forget about it too, alright?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tears of joy fogged Linda\u2019s eyes as she hugged Alex. They laid wreaths on their parents\u2019 graves, standing in silence for some time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
