Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, sparked strong reactions from social media users with her recent dress. Many felt that her attire was not \u201cappropriate\u201d for her age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 12-year-old daughter of iconic powerhouse artist Beyonc\u00e9 Knowles-Carter and rap icon Jay-Z Carter stole the show at this year\u2019s Grammy Awards. Blue Ivy Carter looked radiant in an elegant off-the-shoulder gown, which showed off her collar bones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She paired her chic ensemble with light makeup, silver earrings, a ring, and a dainty clutch bag. Though the young star on the rise looked beautiful in the pictures of her with her mogul parents and other celebrities, some people did not agree with what she wore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of Blue Ivy\u2019s dress, one social media user asserted, \u201cNot age appropriate at all!\u201d Similarly, another expressed, \u201cThat dress is not for a 12 year old child.\u201d Someone else questioned, \u201cWhy is Blue\u2019s cleavage showing?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another Instagrammer who agreed with the inappropriateness of the dress said, \u201cShe\u2019s 12 looking 18.\u201d However, other people complimented Blue Ivy\u2019s appearance, citing that she looked great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this regard, one fan praised, \u201cShe is adorable and looks so poised\u00a0.\u201d Another called her \u201cso gorgeous.\u201d Speaking of the gown, an Instagrammer gushed, \u201cThe dress is cute!!! I prefer this rather than baggy jeans and XL t-shirts!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This recent appearance at the Grammys is not Blue Ivy\u2019s first association with the prestigious event. A few years ago, the young performer made history when she became the second-youngest individual to win a Grammy for her mom\u2019s music video \u201cBrown Skin Girl,\u201d as Blue Ivy was given writing credit for the track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Blue Ivy has already begun establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry, her loving parents haven\u2019t pushed her into pursuing careers like their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a past interview, doting dad Jay-Z clarified that what is important to him and Beyonc\u00e9 when raising their children is ensuring they \u201cprovide a loving environment\u201d and \u201cbe very attentive to who they want to be.\u201d Jay-Z said, \u201cIt\u2019s easy for us, as human beings, to want our children to do certain things, but we have no idea. We\u2019re just guides.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
