“Rustic Elegance: The Broken Twig Log Cabin, a Former HGTV Feature Home”

Have you ever wished that your home would be featured on HGTV? Broken Twig, a rental cabin in Bryson city, North Carolina, is a contender for that title. This stunning home features a log cabin with a large, open porch on the backside, sleeping for 8, a hot-tub with firepit and plenty of room.

Log Cabin Features

  • 2 Bedrooms
  • 2 bathrooms
  • Sleeps up to 8 people comfortably
  • The view from the large covered porch is of the distant mountains.
  • Hot tub and fire pit, high elevation and cool mountain breezes.
  • A large living area with sofas and an HDTV. There is also a gas log fire place, as well as a sleeper-sofa for
  • additional sleeping space.
  • A large corner kitchen features stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. It also has a dining table that seats six people.
  • The master bedroom on the first floor has a bathroom en suite with a king sized bed. It also offers cosy space to relax.
  • The lofted bedroom comes with 2 queen beds, bathroom, and Ms. Pacman Arcade, which includes 60 games.

The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad is within 30 minutes of the cabin, as are the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Deep Creek Community. Other attractions include Tsali Biking and Fontana Lake.

You can also take a short trip to Bryson city and enjoy local food and entertainment.

I can imagine that nothing could beat a simple cabin meal if it meant you got to relax in the hot tub while enjoying these views.

After dark, you can light the firepit and place benches and a table nearby to create a relaxing area for making s’mores together with your kids.

Take a look at the views! Can you imagine enjoying a cup or coffee here in the morning?

You won’t be disappointed with the interior of this home. The main floor has a large living area with a sleeper sofa. There is also a kitchen and dining table in the corner. The master bedroom is located just off this space.

The views are simply breathtaking! The side entrance leads directly into the living area, but the large windows above provide plenty of natural light as well as views of the surrounding mountains.

You can watch a movie in this simple room, play a game or take a nap.

The corner kitchen, while smaller than other kitchens, has full-sized appliances and a dishwasher. These cabins include everything you need to prepare basic meals. All the cooking utensils you need, as well as dinnerware and a few small appliances like a coffee pot, are already included.

Stairs at the corner of the room lead up to the bedroom above. I love loft bedrooms, and this one has plenty of privacy, even though it doesn’t have a wall separating it.

The main-floor master bedroom is located off the hall. It includes a queen or King-sized bed with nightstands. There are also closets and a wardrobe.

It is convenient and cozy to have a master bedroom close to the main floor bathroom. This bathroom features a combination shower and tub, but with updated tile work.

In the loft, there are two queen-sized mattresses at right angles with tables. There is also an open door to the bathroom.

The Ms. Pacman arcade, which has 60 games, is my favorite part of the cabin. I could spend the entire weekend playing this game!

The upstairs bathroom has a combination shower/tub at the rear of the room, similar to the layout on the main floor.
